Solid Ground

I am a fisher of men. Come join Me in the water. 

I see you in the stream, but you’re standing on slippery rock.  As the water flows around you, you will surely fall. 

Do not stand on the promises of this world.  It is sin. First comes death and then decay.  The ruler of this earth is a deceiver.  He has nothing for you, but lies and traps.  His time is short.  Run away from him. 

Stand on solid ground.  Stand in My word.  Obey My word.  Obedience comes at a price, but the prize far outweighs the sacrifice.  I am your reward. 

Stand in Me.  I will never let you fall.  I am your house built on a solid foundation.  Take shelter in Me.  The winds may blow, the sky may be full of thunder and the earth may shake, but my house will remain firm.  It will not crumble. Run to Me and take shelter in My presence. 

I will give you wings to soar in the wind.  You will be like an eagle in the sky.  Flying high above it all.  I will lift you high above the mire and the pestilence.  High above in my presence you will find freedom.  This freedom I freely offer. 

You are mine and mine alone. 

“Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock. But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall.”  Matthew 7:24-27
