I am a follower of Jesus Christ. It is my honor to share with you what the Lord blesses me with.
Hi! I’m Beth Denny. Thank you for visiting my blog. I endeavor to share the blessings of the Lord with the hope that you will be encouraged, strengthened and built up in your walk.
I was raised in California’s Central Valley. My parents were farmworkers and I’m the 10th of eleven children. We are a large Mexican-American family!
I gave my life to Jesus Christ as a 17 year old high school senior at a small country Southern Baptist church. On November 24, 1989, after listening to an Australian evangelist, I made the walk up the aisle and gave my life to Christ.
After I graduated high school, the Lord took me to UC Santa Barbara where He lead me to Gaucho Christian Fellowship, a chapter of InterVarsity. There I grew in my faith and learned how to study the Bible. During my junior year of college, I began attending a church where I learned about the gifts of the Spirit, the power of prayer and the deeper things of the Lord.
After college, I joined Youth With A Mission (YWAM). I attended their Discipleship Training School in Miami with outreach in Nicaragua. It was an amazing time of growth, learning how to share my faith and hearing God’s voice.
After my DTS, I served with YWAM San Francisco for two years. During that time, I was challenged to walk out my faith and I experienced the miraculous works of God.
After my time with YWAM, I returned to Santa Barbara and worked as the Multicultural Admissions Counselor for Westmont College. During this time, I felt a calling from the Lord to become a school counselor. I have been a school counselor for the last 20 years. It’s my calling.
In 2005, I met Jonas. In 2006, I married Jonas! He is God’s very best for me and I am so glad I waited. Jonas is a God fearing man whose passion is the Lord. We have been married for 18 years and we have two beautiful children. We currently reside in Southern California.
God is good and my life is a testimony to His love and faithfulness. Thank you for joining me on my faith journey.
